Abstract
198,639. Erste Br³nner Maschinen- Fabriks-Ges. June 2, 1922, [Convention date]. Aspirating and conveyer apparatus, ejector; regulating or controlling action. - A water-jet ejector of the kind having a number of annular nozzles is arranged so that the air or other induced fluid is in contact solely with the surfaces of the working fluid. In the arrangement shown, the inducing fluid enters at wand passes into the combining cove through the annular orifices between the nozzles r, r<1> and r<2>, r<3>. The induced fluid, which may be air or condensate, enters the ejector device from the pipe l and is compressed and ejected between the two hollow jets of inducing fluid. The various nozzle openings are arranged close together in the direction of flow, so that the induced fluid does not contact with the walls of the ejector casing. The nozzles may be fixed, or they may be adjusted longitudinally by means of a nut h. The nozzles r<2>, r<3> may also be adjustable. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also adjustment of the nozzles r, r<1> by a hand-wheel or lever, or the adjustment may be effected automatically. Besides the nozzles illustrated, other similar adjustable nozzles may be employed. A number of ejector devices may be used in multiple, arranged either in series or in parallel. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
