Reinforced concrete columns. - Concrete columns are formed without moulds by casting the concrete in a cylinder formed by riveting, welding, or otherwise firmly uniting the edges of a bent metal sheet 1 provided with horizontal slits 3 and cups or pockets 4. A flaring head may be formed by a conical or pyramidal shell 5 having a tubular extension 6 fitting in the top of the cylinder. Bars 7 may be secured by binding 8 and spacing-blocks 10 to the inside of the shell and the outside is plastered.
