Abstract

196,859. Morris, W. Sept. 2, 1922. Rope railways and tramways.-A hanger for suspending and guiding the tail part of the haulage ropes in mines is swivalled and spring-supported from the roof. In the illustrated form, the hook on a two-part adjustable bracket g engages the eye d<2> of a bolt on which a pulley-carrying stirrup c is swivelled. A spring e is interposed between the head of the bolt and the stirrup. The tail rope l is maintained in contact with the supporting pulley a by a gua.rd roller k. A short non- adjustable bracket replaces the two-part bracket for use in low passages.
