Folding and rocking seats; reversible seats; awnings for exposed seats.-In a folding X-frame chair of the type in which the frames a, b are connected by links c, d in order to make the chair self-adjusting or capable of being rocked, the frame b is made narrower and shorter than the frame a so that it can be passed completely through it, to render the chair reversible. The seating fabric e may be of waterproof fabric, and a reversible shade f may be provided, supported by pairs of equal arms g, g<1>. Fig. 1 shows the chair open, with the shade attached, Fig. 5 shows the chair completely folded, and Fig. 6 shows the chair in its reversed position, the frame b having been passed completely through the frame a.
