Abstract

196,225. Brandes, Inc., C., (Assignees of Dietrich, F.). May 12, 1922, [Convention date]. Heacl and breast sets.- The head-band of a telephone head set consists of a seamless fabric sleeve covering a wire. The ends are provided with metal tips having apertures through which the wire passes. The receiver is supported by an adjusting rod 3, sliding freely in a chuck 7 having means to cause the chuck to grip the rod to prevent its free movement. Preferably the chuck is of the spring collet type and a nut 8 is used to compress the jaws. The wires 4 of the headband are curved and fit in grooves in washers 9 on the sleeve 10 integral with the collet 7, the end of the sleeve 10 being upset to grip the washers. The rod 3 is provided with a ball head 11 screwing into it, and the receiver is supported on pins 2 in a stirrup 1.
