Abstract

195,280. Jones, F. P. April 18, 1922 Stream-cutting machines; extrusion machines. -In a machine for manufacturing bricks with a roughened or antique surface, the extruded bar of clay 4, has laminae removed therefrom by cutters 2 on some or all sides, and reunited to the bar by movable spring-controlled pressers 3. The pressers are adjusted by screwed sockets 11 to give the desired surface. The die is in two parts, the pressers boing carried on the front part, and the wire &c. cutters adjustably mounted by bolts. and wing-nuts to brackets 8 on the back part. The cutters may be made adjustable to vary the thickness of the laminae.
