Abstract
173,420. Howgate, A. Dec. 13, 1920. Moulding-machines.-Relates to machines of the jarring type and consists in arranging the reversible pattern-plate or table and the movable tables which receives the finished mould so that the mould is produced by fewer operations than usual. Figs. 1 and 2 show a pneumatic machine in which the pattern-plate or table 4 is supported on brackets 3<a>, 3<b>, carried by the jarring table 3. This table is raised by the ram 8 and allowed to drop to produce the jarring effect. When the moulding operation is complete, the plate 4 is reversed and the table 5 raised by the ram 7 to receive and lower the box 6, the movements of. the table being guided by rods a, b.
