Abstract
524,812. Moulding presses. SEMPERT OESTERREICHISCH - AMERIKANISCHE GUMMIWERKE AKT.-GES. Feb. 7, 1939, No. 3917. Convention date, Feb. 7, 1938. [Class 87 (ii)] A press comprises a mould-carrier frame H adapted to operate in conjunction with a mouldopening device A such that closing of a mould I in the press causes opening of a mould II outside the press. The frame H is in the form of bars adjustably mounted upon squared arms K of a bush E which is rotatable about one of the press columns B. The opening device comprises two lever arms A pivoted upon the collars M of the bars H. The upper parts of the moulds are formed with projections C, and as the press is operated to close the mould I its projections C engage the adjacent ends of the arms A and tilt the other ends upwards to engage the projections C on the mould II and raise the upper part thereof. The lower parts of the moulds are fixed in the frame H by pins L and a ledge N.
