Abstract
194,952. Lamson Paragon Supply Co., Ltd., and Winder, A.. April 7, 1932. Collapsable tables.-An extensible desk, writing table, or the like comprises a first complete unit and one or more sectional units adapted to be secured together and to the first unit to form a single article of furniture with a flush and level top surface. The first unit consists of a top or table portion 4, a pedestal and an end or leg portion 6 with a knee-hole space between the two end portions. Each sectional unit 2, 3 comprises a top portion 9 and a pedestal portion 10. A projection 11 on the underside of the free end of the top 9 fits in a corresponding recess on the unit 1. The sectional and complete units thus fit into one another and are detachably connected by bolts 13 and nuts 14 or other suitable means. The sections 2, 3 are similarly formed with a projection 11 secured in a corresponding recess by bolts and nuts. The pedestal portion of each unit is similarly recessed and is detachably connected by bolts 17 and wing-nuts 18 to an underframe 16 rigidly secured to the top 4 and projecting into the recess. The pedestals may be replaced by legs as at 6 which may be detachably connected or hinged to the underframe 16.
