Abstract

600,331. Desks. CORNISH, I. R. Aug. 20, 1945, No. 21239. [Classes 52(i) and 52(iii)] The pedestals 2, 3 of a desk are angularly arranged and support a flat top 1 shaped to cover the pedestals and extend between them, the converging side walls 4 of the pedestals being joined to the converging rear walls 7 by parallel walls 8 connected by an intermediate wall 11 and providing leg spaces both at the front and rear. The pedestals contain drawers and a file box 18 mounted for rocking movement. The rear portion 15 of the top projects beyond the pedestals and is strengthened by a rail. A drawer 28 and pull-out shelves 29 are provided under the top, and triangular drawers may be provided at 30.
