194,083. Miers, C. A., and Naylor, E. Jan. 27, 1922. Carding-engines.-In place of the usual fancy roller, a cleaning roller h and fly-stripper e are employed. The roller h is provided with strips r of leather &c. spaced around the periphery parallel to the axis and carrying carding teeth; each strip may be made in one or more lengths; the roller e is covered entirely with card clothing. The roller h rotates at a greater surface speed than the swift b, and the roller e at the same speed as or faster than the workers f.
