Class 120(1) A web-divider for a carding-engine comprises tapes in the form of endless stretched flatbands made of synthetic plastic material i.e. polyamides or polyurethanes or mixtures thereof, which may contain emollients and/or fillers. In the dividing apparatus described, the thickness of each tape is not greater than the depth of the peripheral groove in the roller in which the tape engages.
