Ordnance, adapting for miniatureammunition practice.-An aiming- tube, preferably comprising the barrel C and bolt-action C<1> of a Service rifle, is held within the bore of a gun fitted with wedge breech-mechanism by catches D, Fig. 4, engaging the rear walls of the grooves B<1> in which the breech-block slides. The aiming-tube is attached to an adapter F by a two-part screwed bush G, G<1> and together with the adapter in pushed into the gun in which it is centred by a sleeve F<2> and ledge F'. During this movement, the transverse catches D spring into the grooves B<1> where they are retained by a spindle H which is turned downwards about trunnions f<x> so as to pass between lus d on the catches. The spindle H, which screws into a nut F<x> carrying the trunnions f<x>, can be forced against the breech face by rotating a handle H<2> in order to press the catches against the rear walls of the grooves B<1>. The firing mechanism of the aiming-rifle is released by an electromagnet E<1> or by a lanyard attached to a lever E<2> as described in Specification 241/06.
