Abstract
16,544. Lotter, F. Nov. 23. Metallic-spring bodies and cores.-Interposed between the flexible tread band and the rim is a series of transversely alined pairs of U-shaped springs 4 having their bends slightly spaced apart. The terminals of the springs are secured through spacing-blocks 3, 8. The outer blocks are secured to flat spring plates 9 arranged on the inside of a continuous flat leather band 11. On the outside of the band are similar spaced plates 13, Fig. 3, in staggered order secured to the overlapping edges of the inner plates through the band by small bolts. There is an outer tread band 14. Flexible dust-shields 15 are secured inside the springs 4.
