Repairing.-Comprises a construction of supplementary valve device for facilitating repairs to a main tap, of the type in which a lift valve is adapted to be opened by the act of coupling up the main tap. The valve member e, which is adapted to seat on a screwed ferrule c, has radial grooves g on its rear face. The valve is guided by integral webs h, and by the valve member engaging ribs between slots b in the casing.
