Fire and smoke tube superheaters.-In a superheater comprising twisted tubes inserted in boiler fire-tubes, the inlet ends of the superheating-tubes are formed with coils 2, Fig. 6, in the smoke-box, or two or more superheating- tubes in different fire-tubes are connected together in series. The headers 4, Fig. 7, may be placed outside the smoke-box and above the feed-heater, a flange coupling 5 being provided inside the smoke-box.
