Abstract

8554. Roberts, T. J. E., and Taylor, G. June 9. [Cognate Application, 16,717/15.] Draught appliances.-To vary the line of traction of a plough or like agricultural machine a traction bar 33 is slidably mounted on two of the cross-braces of the frame and is adapted to be moved across the frame by a screwed rod 34 operated by a hand-wheel 35. The ends of the traction-bar, which are bent towards the land side of the plough to form hooks for the attachment of the traction chain, are connected by a light rail 38 which passes clear of the side frame of the plough and along which the ring at the end of the traction chain may be slipped when the movement of the plough is reversed.
