101,492. Cutler, H. A. Jan. 24, 1916. Cleaning internally, non- rotary appliances for.-Relates to a scraping-device for removing deposit from sewers &c. A single blade is hinged to a carrier frame so that it may be turned flat for movement in one direction and upright for movement in the operative direction. Figs. 1 and 2 show one construction The scraper consists of two parts a, b hinged in a bar frame or carrier f; it is pulled into the position shown in full lines by a line i, when it is introduced into the sewer. It is pulled into the operative position by the line j, which is also connected to the frame by the chain k. In the form shown in Fig. 3, the blade a is provided with an adjustable bracket a' carrying a roller r, and the hinge-pin may have conical ends. The part b may have guides or teeth &c. fitted thereon as shown at p and b<1>.
