7289. Vickers, Ltd., Buckham, G. T., and Smith, F. May 14. Tubular construction.-In a motor-cycle frame of the kind composed of two triangulated side structures spaced apart, each side structure consists mainly of two triangular frames each having approximately the form of two reversed rightangled triangles with a common base. The frame on the left-hand side consists of the two triangles A B C, D B C with the common base B C, and the frame on the right-hand side is similar. The front apexes meet at the head A of the steering-fork a, which is further supported at its lower end E by tubes running to the angles B, B<1> at the ends of the common bases. The two frames are spaced apart by distance-members d, c<2>, e, b, the member e being flat and adapted to support the engine, and the member c<2> adapted to support the rear luggagecarrier. The junction-pieces G, G<1>, are connected to the bases by vertical tubes H, H<1>. Side-car connexions are provided at front and rear.
