Mud-guards carried by wheels.-A mud protector is composed of an annular shield 2 of rubber or other resilient material, with or without canvas reinforcement, and is formed with a large foot portion 1 adapted to rest on the felloe 10 of the wheel and to be adjustably secured thereto by means of a cable or metallic member 5 encircling the foot portion and a number of hooked bolts 6 passing through the foot portion 1 and the felloe. The protector or shield 2 may be made in one or more pieces.
