3545. Williams, L. W. March 5. Ground levers.-The hand-lever m, pivoted at n, engages at its lower end in a slot in a slidable member o, whereby, when the lever is operated, this member is projected against one side of a V-shaped selector p, pivoted at c, and through the connexion I operates the points alternately in opposite directions, the spring toggle e holding the points in their set position. After being released, the lever m and member o automatically return to their original position and are not then affected when the points are trailed through. To convert the apparatus for use as a one-way switch, the arm b is lengthened and the connexion l attached at a suitable point.
