Abstract

444,091. Railway switch mechanism &c. WILLIAMS, L. WYNN-, Haughton Bridge Works, Darlington. March 22, 1935, No. 8990. [Class 104 (i)] In two-way self-reversing lever mechanism of the kind described in Specification 216,301, [Class 104 (i)], the operating lever 7 is fulcrumed at a point 6 above the mechanism it actuates, and is cranked to form a horizontal part 9 between the fulcrum and the upwardly directed portion 7. When the lever is operated, its lower end moves a plate 12 horizontally so that it rocks a member 23 on a spindle 24 and throws over a spring toggle mechanism 25 .. 28. A pin 19 on the latter engages a slot 17 in the end of the plate 12 and turns it so that its end is presented to the other side 22 of the member 23.
