Abstract

22,377. Drocar, P. Nov. 11. Self-levelling furniture. -A floating platform for supporting ships' furniture is supported from pillars secured to the deck by four links having bail - and - socket connexions with the platform and the pillars. The supporting-pillars 14 have inwardfy bent ends 15 and are adjustably secured in sockets 12 secured to the ship's deck. The ball ends formed on the suspension links 20 are held by plates 22 in sockets on the supporting-posts and on short posts secured to the platform. The platform is fitted at the corners with rollers 23 adapted to take against the posts in the event of excessive swinging.
