Abstract

Induction motor meters.-Two laminated magnets carrying series and shunt windings are secured between two common frames of magnetic material. As shown in Figs. 2 and 3, the E-shaped magnet 19 having a shunt winding on its central limb, and the U-shaped magnet 23 carrying series windings are clamped by bolts between two plates 25 forming a return path for the leakage flux of the pressure magnet. Spacers 26 of magnetic material are inserted at one side between the magnet 23 and the corresponding plate 25. The series coils may be secured by bending over tongues 70 formed by slitting the outer laminations of the magnet. Terminals 29 are embedded in moulded insulating-material 42. Meter brakes.-Two permanent magnets 50 are mounted on a yoke 51 of non-magnetic material, which is adjustable by means of a doublethreaded screw 55 and may be clamped to a bracket 48 by set-screws 52 passing through a slot: Testing meters. -A slotted test-loop 36, Fig. 2, connects the pressure coil to a terminal.
