The impeller 12 is driven by a jet of air, steam, or water from a nozzle 16, the exhaust passing into the air-delivery conduit 11. The fan impeller has curved blades and may have additional turbine buckets 22; it may be in sections, with a turbine section arranged between. The guide-plate 23 may be adjustable. The apparatus is portable and may be supported from the roof by hangers 24, as shown in Fig. 4.
