Roller bearings; thrust bearings.-In a roller bearing for railway-vehicle axle-boxes &c.. end thrusts are taken by two series of loose disks d, d<1> placed between a fixed ring F and two rings I, J mounted loosely on the journal A. The ring F is secured in the axle-box by a flange G on an end cover H. The rings I, J bear against the end of a sleeve B on the journal and a collar K respectively. The outer roller race D is in three parts, and the rollers C are positioned by rings b engaging grooves in the race and in the rollers.
