7186. Chiapponi, M., Hesse, R., and Rauschenplat, G. von. March 28, 1913, [Convention date]. Iron chloride and sulphate.-Iron is volatilized in the form of chloride from tin ores by treating the ore, after partial reduction, with hydrochloric acid gas at a temperature of 400-500 C. ; or the iron may be removed from the partly-reduced mass by lixiviation with hydrochloric or sulphuric acid.
