Abstract

4184. Lange, P. de. May 8, 1913, [Convention date]. Hot-wire receivers are provided with platinum Wollaston wire loops 1, which are soldered or riveted to eonducting-blocks 4, 5 and freely suspended in an acid bath at the desired depth in order to dissolve the external coating of metal. Supports 9, 10 may be passed through holes 6 in a number of blocks 4, 5 to treat simultaneously a number of wires 1. As shown in Fig. 4, the supports 9, 10 are connected to conductors 11, 12, which are embedded in a block 13 of insulating-material. The receiver casing 15, which is provided with a perforated cover 14, encloses the block 13.
