3562. Holbein, A. H. Feb. 11. [Addition to 12,805/13.] Trusses.-In the surgical truss described in the. parent Specification, the plate A is slit to form three tongues 1, 2, 3, and the outer tongues 1, 3 are bent to form springs to which the pad is attached. A sliding strip 4 is attached to the middle or outer tongues to vary the flexibility of the latter. The leg strap K is attached to the tongue 2 and is provided with a rubber ring 7 to make it elastic. The back portion 6 of the belt is formed of stiff flexible material covered with padding.
