Reservoirs in cylinders.-In an internal-combustion engine, lubricant in the crank case is splashed partly on to the guiding-tube G, g and the contacting part J of the piston, and partly into a cavity whence it runs into a reservoir M and is picked up by projections P, Q on the piston E and on the lowest piston ring.
