Abstract

536. Thompson, La M. A. Feb. 21, 1913, [Convention date]. Railways for recreation.-A brake for the cars of a pleasure railway, more particularly of the kind described in Specification 534/14, consists of shoes 18 which are pivoted to the sides of each car and are forced outwards by means of a hand-lever into contact with guides h fixed at the sides of the track. The lever is pivoted on the car and its lower end is pivoted to a tube 13, which is movable longitudinally and is connected by links 17 to the shoes 18. The tube 13 forms a guide for the connecting - cable described in the above-mentioned Specification.
