19,578. Miller, J. A. Nov. 24, 1911, [Convention date]. Railways for recreation.-Relates to safety devices for pleasure and other railways. The track 22 upon which the wheels 16 run is provided with extensions 24 to engage guardwheels 28 fixed beneath the passenger car S. Side beams 20 are also employed to prevent untracking. V - shaped brake shoes 31, fixed beneath the car S, engage corresponding brake-beams 32, which are raised into operative position by a hand - lever. Brake - beams are placed at stations and at any other points where it may be desired to stop the cars.
