Prizing-tools. -A valve-spring lifter is pro vided with two parallel jaws a, c operated by a lever d pivoted to a bracket c<6> on the handleextension c<5> of the fixed jaw c and engaging one of a series of slots a<5> in the shank of the sliding jaw a. The device may be clamped in position by a screw e or by means of a screw bolt or bolt and nut d<4> acting as the pivot of the lever.
