Abstract

29,920. Kelly, R. Dec. 30. Combined-flow type.-In a turbine having axialradial flow, the motive fluid is admitted by pipes 19 to the opposite sides of a rotor 9, which is provided on its opposite concave surfaces with blades 13 having a spiral form. Oppositely-directed spiral blades 14 are provided on the adjacent casing surfaces 5, and the motive fluid, after expansion, escapes at the periphery of the rotor and exhausts through a pipe 18.
