Abstract
24,029. Gladitz, C. Oct. 23. No Patent granted. Bulbs; residual gases. -A metal filament lamp is filled with ammonia, preferably under a pressure between one and two atmospheres, and is vacuum-jacketed to counteract the porosity of the inner bulb. The ammonia may be admitted after or during exhaustion. The jacketing bulb may be made from halves joined at the middle c, or from a tube contracted at one end and collapsed at the other into union with the neck of the inner bulb. According to the Provisional Specification, the filament may be semimetallic.
