21,382. Munktells Mekaniska Verkstads Aktiebolag. Sept. 30, 1912, [Convention date]. Reversing; starting. A two-stroke-cycle engine has admission and exhaust valves for compressed air for reversing and starting. The inlet valve 11 is worked by a cam 20 (or a similar cam, not shown, for the reverse direction of running) and the exhaust valve 12 by a cam 22 (or similar cam). The cam drum 18 is axially adjustable so that cams 20, 22 or the opposite pair are in action to oppose forward or backward running, or the admission cam only, which is wider than the exhaust cam, may be used at starting.
