17,855. Gardner, E. Aug. 5. Cylinders receiving liquid fuel. -The combustion chamber is cast in one with the cylinder cover, is triangular in section and has on two of its faces extensions a, b for the admission and exhaust valves, and on the third face the vaporizer and igniter c; the fuel-nozzle is opposite at d. At the end of the chamber is an opening for compressed air for starting purposes, and at the top a hole for an indicator &c.
