Abstract

Gazogenes and siphon bottles.-A siphon vessel for beer &c. consists of an inner glass vessel B resting in an outer metal casing A and held therein by a right-angled packing-ring H. The ring H contains a tube K for the passage of gas between the vessel and the casing. The draw-off valve is formed by a plug M carrying a washer N, which may be renewed by unscrewing the plug. The plug M may be moved by a cap P, which acts as a key or wrench. The gas-admission valve G consists of a screw plug having an inlet passage Q and side openings R covered by a rubber jacket having a central outlet opening T.
