Abstract
13,918. Moretti, R. July 10, 1912. [Addition to 16,164/12.] Spark-gap apparatus. - Relates to spark-gap apparatus in which, as described in the parent Specification, water is fed through the gap. Fig. 2 shows a form in which water is fed through one electrode 7, the other being solid or closed by a pressure chamber 12 as shown. In the form shown in Fig. 3, both electrodes are immersed in water, all but their ends being covered by an insulating-shield 14. In the form shown in Fig. 4, the electrode 8 through which the water is supplied is rotated within the wheel-like electrode 7. In another modification, Fig. 5, two concentric tubes are used, the water being fed through the electrode 7 and holes 18, or else between the electrode 8 and partition 17.
