Wrenches.-A wrench of the type in which the adjustment of the jaws is effected by means of a rotatably-mounted internally screw-threaded handle engaging a screw-threaded stem controlling the jaws is provided with a fixed sleeve 1 with arms 25, 26, a rotatable sleeve 2 embracing the fixed sleeve 1 and connected to a rotatable internally threaded portion 18 within the sleeve 1, and wrench jaws 7, 8 pivotally-monnted within the arms 25, 26 and having cam-faces 11 adapted to be engaged by corresponding faces 31, 32 on a stem 28 having a screwed end engaged by the rotatable portion 18. In the modification shown in Fig. 7, the stem is connected rigidly to a sliding jaw B coacting with a fixed jaw 7.
