Ruling and like pens. -The blades a of a ruling or like pen are arranged at the end of a shaft c which can be advanced or retracted within the holder f by rotating the screwed cap i to actuate the shaft c. The exterior surface of the blades is conical and engages with a conical surface k at the end of the holder so that the opening of the blades is adjusted by moving them longitudinally. The holder serves as an ink reservoir and is closed, when the pen is withdrawn into it by screwing the cap i over the end k. Ink is fed to the pen by a member b.
