Bed-plates are centrally divided normal to the crank and cam shafts f, k, the two parts being rigidly held together by bolts and by interlocking recesses and projections c, d, those at one end of. the bed being at right-angles to those at the other end. The crank and cam shaft bearings g, l are spherical externally, the former being held by spherically recessed caps h in cylindrical recesses in the bed, and the latter in spherical recesses in the bed and caps m.
