Mats.-A bath-mat convertible into a chair or seat consists of a sheet of cork &c., supported preferably in a removable manner in a frame a having transverse strengthening-bars a<1> and four legs f secured to pivoted transverse pieces c, the legs being secured in the folded and extended positions by means of a flat strip g of hard springy wood secured at its middle and free at its ends and arranged to bear on the pivoted pieces c. According to the Provisional Specification, other forms of springs may be used.
