Abstract

4872. Ablett, H. E. Feb. 26. No Patent granted (Sealingfee not paid). Trestles &c.-A folding framework adapted for use in the construction of stands comprises four legs which are connected by four pairs of crossed stays pivoted to the legs at one end and to fittings sliding on the legs at the other. The framework comprises legs A, and crossed stays D pivoted to sliding sleeves C. The legs or the stays are interconnected by ties or connexions E, H, which limit the extension of the frame. Fig. 2 shows two structures connected by bars F<2> to form a bed. Fig. 4 shows a framework fitted with a seating-surface and a back to form a chair. Fig. 5 shows a washstand, and Fig. 3 a table. Two frameworks are shown in Fig. 6 connected together by sockets G to form a tent frame; Fig. 7 shows a photographic dark-room consisting of a framework supported by legs K at one side and resting at the other side on a table.
