Abstract
1963. Mack, G. Jan. 24. Pile fabrics; ground weaves; tissue - figured fabrics. - Towels are provided on one or both sides with an absorbent surface above the foundation fabric comprising floated additional ordinary or looped warp threads, or looped weft threads, bound to the ground fabric by warp or weft threads thereof. Fig. 2 shows one side of a towel provided with such additional floated warp threads a, a<1>, while Fig. 2<a> shows floated weft threads b, b<1>. The floated threads, either single threads or groups of two or more laid together, may be applied continuously or intermittently in strips or checks to form patterns or designs. Specification 3005/12 is referred to.
