Aerating chambers and fittings. - In apparatus for aerating liquids during drawing-off, in which the liquid is passed from a pipe c through an atomizer c into a chamber d, supplied with gas from a pipe h, the air contained in the chamber passes through a non-return valve into a small chamber i, from which it escapes through a valve m<1>, adjusted to open at a pressure about the same or slightly above the pressure at which gas is supplied to the chamber d. The compressed-gas cylinder that supplies the chamber d may be used also to supply gas under slightly higher pressure to force the liquid into the chamber.
