Aerating liquids.-Carbon dioxide is supplied under constant pressure to a cylinder 10 through an inlet 12, and water or other liquid through an inlet 15 controlled by a float valve 16. Gas and liquid are withdrawn from the cylinder through pipes 18, 19, and are compressed by a pump 4 and forced together through a pipe 20 and sprayer 21 into a cylinder 11, from which the aerated liquid is withdrawn through cocks 22. Excess of gas or of aerated liquid is returned from the cylinder 11 to the cylinder 10 by a pipe 25 controlled by a pressurereducing valve 26. The cylinder 10 is provided with a visible signal, consisting of a flexible diaphragm 29 connected with an external disk 34 to indicate when the supply of gas to the cylinder is exhausted. The cylinder is also provided with an air vent 35.
