Abstract

Detaching from, and attaching to, permanent hubs. -Detachable wheel hubs R<1>, Figs. 1 and 2, have on the inner periphery diametrically opposite flats h<1> adapted to engage corresponding flats h on the permanent hub b. The hub parts are secured together by a nut n and a cap o locked by a spring- pressed pin p. Fig. 5 shows a spanner with an aperture r<1> to fit the cap o and a slot r<2> and recess r<3> to hold the pin retracted during manipulation of the cap, the aperture r<4> being used for turning the nut n.
