26,643. Parkes, S. R. Nov. 20. ' Engaged ' and like indicators.-A latch has a ' Locked ' indicator showing on the inside of the door, and an ' Engaged ' indicator on the outside, the disks being mounted on the ends of a spindle j<1> which passes through a sleeve J carrying blocking-mechanism j<2> for the bolt. A spring S keeps the spindle in either of its positions, and a spring H acting on lugs d<3> serves to shoot the bolt. The spindle j<1> is operated on one side by a handle and on the other by a key.
