Abstract

23,102. Shead, A. E. Oct. 10. Driving-arrangements for screw propellers.- Manually-operated levers n actuate a bellows or air-pump b to store compressed air in a reservoir a provided with a gauge a'. A throttle valve d is fitted to the supply pipes e, f from the reservoir to a rotary engine c, which drives the propeller h. By changing the supply from the pipe e to the pipe f, reversal of the propeller is effected. A paddle-wheel may be driven instead of a screw propeller.
